Xiaoan's Tai Chi

Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art that is primarily practiced for its health benefits, including a means for dealing with tension and stress. Tai Chi emphasizes complete relaxation and is essentially a form of medication, or what has been called "meditation in motion."

People of all ages can learn the gentle turning and stretching movements of Tai Chi, which can be adapted to match any level of physical ability. Through Tai Chi, many people will find its gentle movements to be an effective therapy for a wide range of health problems, including poor circulation, high blood pressure, arthritis and rheumatism, back pain, breathing difficulties, and digestive and nervous disorders.

Currently, Tai Chi is being taught at the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) and the Carolyn Rose Strauss Senior Center.

Our mission is to bring Chinese Tai Chi exercise to every community including West Monroe and Ouachita Parish areas so that many of its benefits are available to all, who wish to experience them. In addition to group sessions, private sessions are available upon request.
