2011 China Adventure Tour
12-Day Tour of Shanghai / Zhengzhou (Shaolin Temple) / Luoyang / Xi'an / Guilin / Hangzhou / Shanghai

Day 1: Depart for Shanghai, China
You will depart Monroe for your exciting journey to China,
cross the International Date Line, and lose one day en route.

Day 2: Shanghai
Welcome to Shanghai – China’s largest and most cosmopolitan city! Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our local tour guide at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport, and transferred to your hotel.

Day 3: Shanghai/Zhengzhou/Luoyang
Take morning flight to Zhengzhou. Visit the Shaolin Temple, & watch martial arts demonstration. Take the bus to Luoyang.

Day 4: Luoyang
Visit the Longmen Grottoes, & the White Horse Monastery.

Day 5: Luoyang/Xi’an
Take morning train to Xi’an, which was the starting point of the ancient Silk Road, & served as the capital of China for more than 1,000 years. In the afternoon, you will visit the Bell Tower, & the City Wall. You will be treated with the Tang Dynasty Dance Dinner Show at night.

Day 6: Xi’an
Enjoy your visit to the Terra-Cotta Museum, which is the excavation site of 8,000 terra-cotta warriors and horses, buried around the tomb of Emperor Qin. Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the afternoon.

Day 7: Xi’an/Guilin
Fly to Guilin. Visit the Reed Flute Cave, which is known as “the Palace of Natural Arts.”

Day 8: Xi’an/Yangshuo
You will savor on a full-day cruise along the unique and tranquil Li River, with its delicate karst formations, beautiful rural scenery, and lush green hillsides with bizarre rock formations and caves. Disembark at the 1,000-year old town of Yangshuo in the afternoon. If you are lucky, you might see cormorants catch fish at night.

Day 9: Yangshuo/Hangzhou
In the morning, you will be transferred by bus through the country road to visit the Moon Hill. Return to Guilin by bus. Fly to Hangzhou.

Day 10: Hangzhou/Shanghai
A West Lake cruise shows its willow-draped islands, inspiration to artists and poets. Tour the Ling Yin Monastery, & a Tea Production Brigade. Take a train to Shanghai.

Day 11: Shanghai
You will visit the Bund where foreign traders left a legacy of European-style buildings, and the Yuyuan Garden dotted with lofty and steep rocks, green trees, & ancient pavilions. Free activities in the afternoon. Complete the day for a thrilling show by the Shanghai Acrobatic Troupe.

Day 12: Depart for Monroe, LA, USA
With new insights and fond memories of China, you will embark on your homebound journey. Arrive in Monroe on the same day.

~ 3 meals daily with American buffet breakfast

Booking & Payment Procedures:
Step 1: You have to submit the following by 12/01/10
~ A copy of your passport’s biographic data page (Your passport should be valid for at least 9 months and we will collect your passport at a later date for visa application).
~ A passport photo
~ A completed China Visa Application Form
~ Full payment of a cashier’s check to JT’s China Tour

Step 2: You will receive a confirmation letter.

Step 3: Three weeks prior to the departure, we will mail you the itinerary, final travel documents and airline tickets.

Cancellations & Refunds:
Please keep in mind that the costs have been incurred by JT’s China Tour before a group ever departs. Therefore, we have created the cancellation and refund policy outlined below in order to avoid misunderstandings. Notice of cancellation will be accepted only from the participant and must be in a written form. In all cases, the date of cancellation will be determined by the date, on which JT’s China Tour receives your notice.

30 Days Before Departure
Full refund less 70% of your total payment.

Within 30 Days Before Departure
No refund will be issued.
